Album

Sequencer, released in May 1996, is the second full-length album by the Swedish musical group Covenant. In the USA, the album was released in 1997 on the 21st Circuitry label , and again in July 1999 on Metropolis Records. These releases both combine the original Sequencer album minus Luminal, with the Stalker CD single, separated by an extra half-minute of silence after Flux. Tracks such as Stalker show that Covenant is capable of beat-driven synth music that retains the gravity of non-dance acts such as Laibach and the energy of the techno influence. Other tracks Feedback and Tabula Rasa sport just enough engineered noise creeping in at the edges to provide a new dimension to the sound. Sequencer Covenant album. Sequencer is only Covenants second album, yet a decade has passed since the first form of the band. 1996 saw big changes after Sequencers release, including a deal for a U. distributor for fans overseas as well as a huge hit single in the EBM scene there. Even a casual fan of Covenant can tell you that the first three tracks off their sophomore album, Sequencer, are some of the bands classics. Feedback has an instant hook and is immensely hard to be rid of, because of infectious grooves and vocal lines as well as everything else in the song that are etched throughout it
