Album

The Symphony No. 1 in C minor, B. 9, subtitled The Bells of Zlonice Czech: Zlonické zvony, was composed by Antonín Dvořák during February and March 1865. The work is written in the early Romantic style, and was inspired by the works of Ludwig van Beethoven and Felix Mendelssohn. It was the only one of his symphonies that Dvořák never heard performed or had a chance to revise. One odd observation: Symphony No. 7, 3rd mvt, seems to have a couple of spots where the audio goes dead, the 1st beginning at 1:50 into the track and ending at 3:01. Since my copy of this CD was positively confirmed with the Accurate Rip database, I think the error is inherent to the master itself
