For this album OG-O-GO manage to combine a more Trad Jazz background with Avant Garde-influences such as VARESE, STOCKHAUSEN and the Neo Classical tendency to portray a far less than pastoral world. A whole heap of other stylistic influences are thrown into the gumbo brew - Out Rock, R'n'B, Classical and others. While OG-O-GO may be musically proficient, their execution is satisfyingly shabby - these guys wear piss-stained jeans instead of razor-ironed suits - unkempt, yes, but not lacking in style and ability. Free from the inhibiting safety of note-perfect anal guidelines, they create something almost as vital, and certainly as progressive as PAINKILLER circa "Execution Ground".
It could easily be said that they POLLOCK their canvas to portray a dark drug-fuelled world of trash. But look closer, study how beautifully wonderous the gnarled and twisted shapes they paint are; see how the ripped and torn underbelly world has a breathtaking glory far beyond the studied, staid PRE RAPHAELITE sense of Romantic reality. Here is life - indeed, here is the nightmare of everyday life.

The core of this ensemble is, rather predictably, brass anglepoise, guitar meanderings and percussive splashes. Added to this are steel drums (far enough forward to almost take over as lead instrument here and there).
