With David Byrne enjoying some renewed interest thanks to ‘Lazy’, how appropriate that his former Talking Heads band members, under their Tom Tom Club alias, should similarly get in on the action. Their ‘Wordy Rappinghood’ was, and still is, so instantly familiar it’s hard to believe it was actually in the top 10 almost 21 years ago to the day (Fuck I’m getting old!) Also currently to be found as the inspiration behind M001’s super hot and so sly twelve, ‘So Fly’ – we still can’t tell you who’s behind it! The ‘Words Of Peace’ version is far more straight-up bootleg territory taking the quirky synth riff, beef-up the drums and vocal hooks. Hey presto! Another highly desirable addition to any wannabe Fatboy Slim set.
